deadlyponies:

Phyllis Siegel, 76, left, and Connie Kopelov, 84, both of New York, embrace after becoming the first same-sex couple to get married at the Manhattan City Clerk’s office.

This makes me want to cry. People comment on how they don’t understand murderers and drug dealers and bla bla bla, I don’t understand how someone could not believe in equality of love. I cannot grasp my head around the fact that people are so hateful and don’t believe in equality or humanity. I don’t understand the world sometimes. I’m so lucky that I was raised by parents who taught me love and compassion over hate and disgust.
